Fabric Fortune Teller

Remember making these with your friends?  I always liked to create funny messages for my friends to choose! Now you can make one that will last...out of fabric! This pattern is great even for a beginner sewer who is familiar with a sewing machine, and comes with photos and instructions to help you put it together. Have fun!

New Patterns in my Etsy Shop

I've been working on a few new patterns, and with the help of some very good pattern testers, they are ready to be posted in my Etsy Shop.  I am having fun creating some tiny little things lately (along with my micro mini dresdens) and am really excited about this tiny "Perogy Pouch".  It is about 3 3/4" wide, and there is no hand stitching on it... which means it is quite fast to make. I also included in the pattern an alternate size option, in case this is a little too small for a beginner... I personally think it's a perfect way to use up those zippers that are super small and for some reason, I had lots of them in my zipper stash! No exposed seams, and also has a small loop for hooking on your key chain. Head on over to my Etsy to try out the pattern for yourself :) www.etsy.com/shop/berrybirdy

Canadian Summer Quilt Along

I am thrilled to have been chosen to be apart of the Canadian Summer Quilt Along with many other Canadian designers who created blocks that remind them of our wonderful country! I chose the Beaver and have him holding a stump of a tree that he just chewed off.  When I was growing up and went camping with my parents every summer, I remember being amazed seeing the lovely homes these creatures make. I have always had a fear of swimming, and the thought of having to swim into my house would be terrifying, so they are intriguing to me :) I am pleased to offer this pattern for your Summer Quilt along and I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did! Happy sewing! Click the link below for the PDF File. Beaver Block For Canadian Summer Quilt Along

Baby Bunny Paper Pieced Pattern

We are now coming to the last days of the Micro Mini Sew-A-Long! The month of May was quite busy for me, but it was so enjoyable to even sew for a small bit each day and come out with a micro mini reward.  This baby bunny is one of my final entires as the SAL ends tomorrow :)  I am so thankful to those who participated! I am hoping for close to 500 Micro Mini quilts made, and already planning my next SAL .... can't tell you what it is yet, but stay tuned. To make this one for yourself, simply drag it to your desktop and print it off! Enjoy!

Micro Mini Kite Quilt

With the Micro Mini Sew A Long in the second week, there have been over 200 posts on Instagram showing some amazing creations and adorable minis!! I posted this kite quilt today, and have had requests for the pattern, so here it is! You will want to drag it from here and put it on your desktop so that you can print it.  You may have to adjust the sizing when you do so.  The kite is supposed to measure 4 1/2" high, in this pattern, but of course you can make it any size you wish! Smiles and Happy sewing! Lesley
